Essya Kastally

Essya Kastally has been a lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 2014. Having practised in business law with a particular affinity for banking law, she chose to redirect her practice towards criminal law and, in particular, business criminal law.

Her atypical career enables her to take a global, cross-disciplinary view of the cases she handles.

Her knowledge and long experience of civil and commercial law enable her to approach criminal cases from all angles, whether defending clients prosecuted for financial criminal offences or defending civil parties and, more specifically, calculating the compensation to which they are entitled.

Essya Kastally assists her clients from the moment they are deprived of their liberty and throughout the criminal proceedings. She also advises anyone who has been the victim of an offence on the advisability of bringing a public prosecution and, if necessary, assists them by drafting a complaint with civil damage claims.

Essya Kastally was also a director of the Brussels Young Bar Conference in 2018 and 2019.
